BENGALURU: In the income tax department raid over the past three days on medical establishments in Bengaluru have caught a huge scam involving tax evasion and doctor referral fee that runs into several crores of rupees,on the investigation on two IVF clinics, doctors and five diagnostic centers, including the residence and office of a well-known fertility expert.

Schools in the neighbouring districts of Thane and Palghar are closed today because of the rain. Dabbawallahs or lunch box carriers have cancelled services for today. On Monday, Mumbai received five times the average rainfall for this season. The Met department has predicted heavy to very heavy rain till Thursday. The bodies of three generations of the Bhatia family were discovered in their home in north Delhi's Burari by a neighbour who grew suspicious when he found their grocery shop shut on Sunday morning. The police are yet to establish the sequence of the deaths; whether it was a mass suicide or murder-suicide. While 45 of them died on the spot, the critically injured were rushed to the hospital. The accident happened on the Pipali-Bhoan motorway in Pauri Garhwal's Nainidanda block. The police and a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are engaged in rescue operations. At 1.07 pm, the pilots spoke to the Juhu air traffic control or ATC tower and confirmed that they were set to land. Sixty seconds later, something horribly went wrong. The plane lost contact with the ATC officials at Juhu and Mumbai airports. Officials tried to switch frequencies to make contact but it didn't help. The 12-seater Beechcraft King Air C90 with four people on board crashed into an under-construction building in Mumbai's densely-populated Ghatkopar seconds later. Investigators are yet to examine the black box, which records all flight information to ascertain what happened. The body of Shailja Dwivedi (35) had also been run over by a car several times. Police sources said their prime suspect was also a major in the Army.
